Samoa continues late medal charge at the South Pacific Games

New Caledonia's medal gathering slowed yesterday with the Games pace setter winning one gold and four medals for the day.

Samoa has kept up its late charge, winning ten medals, five gold, to have 32 of the top currency.

It has created a break on Tahiti, 28, and Papua New Guinea, 27, who collected two more medals yesterday but no gold.

Fiji continues in fifth place on the medal table

It also had a strong day adding 9 more medals and with 89 sits behind Samoa who have 94, and New Caledonia who have amassed 169medals.
