Manu Samoa coach to quit to work for head of state

The coach of the Manu Samoa national rugby sevens team, Fuimaono Titimaea, may quit his post after being appointed as the private secretary for the newly elected head of State, Tuiatua Tupua Tamasese Efi.

Fuimaono has been the head coach for the team in the last IRB sevens circuit and the Hong Kong Sevens where the team won the cup finals.

He says his role as private secretary for the head of state is very important and he cannot take both roles.

Fuimaono says he would rather step down to take on his new job.

He says the head of state who is the president of the rugby football union is considering stepping down as well
