Reports say American Samoa's Lt. Governor arrested by FBI

There are reports in American Samoa that the territory's lieutenant governor has been arrested.

Samoa News reports today that Lt. Governor Ipulasi Aitofele Sunia was taken into custody over the weekend by the FBI and then transported to Honolulu on board a military aircraft

The newspaper says Ipulasi surrendered himself to the FBI on Saturday at an undisclosed location under an arrangement with the federal agency.

Details of his arrest have not been made public but the newspaper says a federal

indictment is under seal at the federal court in Honolulu.
