The chairman of Samoa's Rugby Football Union, the Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sailele Malielegaoi, says the next coach of the national rugby team, Manu Samoa, could be a woman or a fa'afafine.

The prime minister is the patron of the first ever Fa'afafine Association established in Samoa.

His comment comes after Manu Samoa head coach, La'auli Michael Jones, announced his intention to step down after the World Cup.

The choice of a new coach will be discussed when the team returns home after its final pool "A" match against the United States.
