The Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau has set a target to attract more than 20-thousand tourists by 2010.

The Bureau's General Manager Michael Tokuru says it has worked out plans to promote Solomon Islands as a holiday destination.

He says these plans include promotions in Australia, where the bulk of tourists come from.

Mr Tokuru told the SIBC they will host various roadshows in Australia and other countries.

Mr Tokuru says if Solomon Islands can get 20-thousand visitors by 2010, the country could possibly earn about 30 -million US dollars in visitor revenue.
