Seven suspects are under investigation in the Samoa police probe into the missing mattresses and beds used by athletes during the recent South Pacific Games in Apia.

The assistant police commissioner and media spokesman, Papali'i Li'o, says police teams are still carrying out their inquiries around the island of Upolu.

Papali'i says so far 38 mattresses and 3 beds have been found out of 83 mattresses and 42 beds that went missing from seven sporting venues and three athlete's villages after the games.
