The President of the Fiji Football Association says he's written to FIFA stating Fiji will be playing this weekend's Oceania World Cup qualifier against the All Whites under protest.
Dr Sahu Khan is infuriated by the visa problems encountered by Fiji in trying to get to Auckland and having their top goal keeper barred from travelling to New Zealand as he is linked to Fiji's military through his father in law.
Dr Khan says depending on the result and the importance of the this match, he will be taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for sport in Switzerland .
"We are playing for the World Cup playoff for 2010 and the Confederations Cup in 2009, but also I'm going now make a very strong move, any Oceania Football Confederation playoff or tournaments where Fiji is going to participate I'm going to object very strongly to that New Zealand should host any of those games."
Dr Khan has blamed the New Zealand government for the delaying tactics but New Zealand Immigration say the applications had only arrived a week before the team was due to leave, and a month is needed to process them.
