Two businesses in Hawaii raise funds to build new school in Cambodia

Two small-business owners in Hawaii have raised funds to build a school for 300 underprivileged children in Cambodia.

Owners of the Bel Canto School of Singing company, Neva Rego and Betty Grierson worked an extra hour a day for a year to raise $20,000.

Last year the Honolulu Star bulletin reports only one out of every two Cambodia children completed primary school.

The pair have inspired other locals to get in behind them, and financially support their cause.
