Papua New Guinea beaten by Wales 50-10 in a world cup qualifier

The Wales league team have beaten Papua New Guinea 50-10 in their crunch world cup qualifier.

The Welsh were behind only once after PNG took a 6-0 lead through second row George Moni.

First-half tries for Phil Joseph, Dave Halley and replacement Damien Gibson put the home side firmly in command.

A further six tries sealed an emphatic win for the homeside.

Iestyn Harris landed five conversions while Lennon and Adam Hughes kicked the other four points.

Papua New Guinea, automatic qualifiers for next year's World Cup, added to their total with a try from Nixon Kolo.
