Starting the final round six shots behind, Fiji golfer Vijay Singh has finished runner up, one shot behind Argentina's Angel Cabrera at the rich Singapore Open.
Singh put up a final round four under 67 to hound the U.S Open champion on the final day.
He was playing in the group ahead of Cabrera and the Fijian pulled within one shot of the lead by the 10th hole but was unable to draw level until he birdied the par-five last to move to seven-under.
But Cabrera responded by birdying the final hole to finish 8 under.
Cabrera set the foundation for victory with a stunning course record 63 in Friday's second round and started his final round with a four-shot advantage
New Zealand's Mark Brown finished plus 2 and tied in 8th place.
Fellow New Zealander, Michael Campbell, missed the cut.
