New Zealand-based Pacific businessmen looking for investment opportunities

10:45 am on 6 November 2007

A delegation of New Zealand-based Pacific Island business people has arrived in Samoa to find out about potential market opportunities.

The group is led by the Pacific Islands Trade and Investment Commission, or PITIC.

Dubravka Voloder reports from Apia.

"The ten entrepreneurs from a variety of backgrounds will attend a number of presentations by government ministries and the private sector today that will outline potential business opportunities in the country. They will also visit a number of resorts, farms and a garment factory. The PITIC and the Samoan government hope they will find these sectors worth investing in. The delegation will move on to Tonga on Thursday."
