The Marshall Islands Chief Electoral Officer, Karl Alik says plans for next week's general election are on track.
More than 36,000 people are eligible to choose a new 33-member parliament, or nitijela.
The polls on the 19th November will be monitored by a six-member observer group nominated by the Pacific Islands Forum.
It'll be the first time in 30 years the Marshall Islands election has been monitored by an international observers.
Mr Alik says the people are pretty excited about the prospect.
"Yeah I'm quite sure they will come an observe the election, and see what will be happening on election day."
Voters will also elect mayors.
