9:45 am on 15 November 2007

Mail to Micronesia and the Marshall Islands in the Pacific will be delivered at the domestic United States postage rates, starting from Monday.

The Federated States of Micronesia and the Marshall Islands are former trust territories of the U.S. and received their mail at the U.S. domestic rate until January 8, 2006, when international rates were phased in.

Some of the new prices are 41 US cents for a First-Class Mail letter, $4.60 for Priority Mail , $8.95 for a Priority Mail Flat-Rate Box, and $16.25 for Express Mail.
