A new bottled water has hit store shelves, bars and restaurant in American Samoa this week.

The water bottling venture has been launched by the Samoa Leasing Company.

The process is fully automated and the company has a lab on site to do quality testing.

The General Manager, Robert Tago, says the water bottling plant represents a half a million US dollar investment by the company.

They are producing between 1000 and 2000 cases of Vaimalu Pure Samoa Purified Water per week.

While their primary focus is the local market the company plans to emulate the success of Fiji Water in the United States.
