Striking hospital doctors in French Polynesia are expected to make a decision today about whether they will continue their strike.
A number of hospital doctors began striking about a week ago to demand a higher budget as they argue health care needs in the territory are growing.
In a meeting between government officials and the hospital doctors yesterday the government said it would start negotiations with the doctors, but not while they are on strike.
A health advisor to the government, Dr Jean Paul Theron, says the doctors will decide in a meeting today whether they will comply with the government's request.
