Samoa opposition MP urges government MPs to overthrow leader

10:30 am on 23 November 2007

The leader of the Samoa Democratic Party Asiata Saleimoa Vaai says

the only way to stop the switch from left to right hand drive vehicles is

for Government Members of Parliament to remove the Prime Minister as

leader.

Asiata said if electors are against the move, they should tell their MP to

dismiss the Prime Minister.

He says the ruling Human Rights Protection Party caucus chose the Prime

Minister and they can remove him in a vote of no confidence.
