Employment in the Pacific to be tackled at Labour conference in Fiji

Issues facing Pacific Countries concerning growth, employment and decent work will be examined at

an international meeting organised by the International Labour Organization or ILO in, Fiji today.

The three day meeting will bring together about 40 participants from, Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu.

It will provide a platform to discuss the specific challenges and common issues facing Pacific Countries.

Discussions will cover issues such as how to provide people with secure, productive and sustainable livelihoods that meet their aspirations.
