Fiji's 86-year old president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, has gone to Australia for his annual medical review.
The review this week follows one which was postponed in April this year.
President Iloilo has been accompanied by his wife, Adi Salaseini Kavunono, and his official, Rupeni Naceva.
No acting president has been appointed and President Iloilo will continue to perform the functions of his office from Australia.
He is expected to be away for a week.
