American Samoa's Governor Togiola Tulafono has told business vendors that fish exports to Hawaii is a great economic development opportunity.

He said fish companies in American Samoa and Samoa should consider this market.

A weekly cargo flight comes into Pago Pago on Friday and drops off cargo and mail for the territory before heading to Niue to pick up 9,000 pounds of fish for export to Honolulu.

The Governor was speaking at the joint Samoa Trade Fair that took place in Pago Pago over the weekend.
