Fiji Rugby 7's coach Josateki Savou has opted to rest his top flight players for their first pool game against Canada at the South Africa 7's tournament starting in George tonight.

Captain Etonia Naba and halfback Emosi Vucago are the only two players in the line-up from the side that lost the final to New Zealand in Dubai.

Savou has included young 20-year old Tomasi Mawi, rookie forward Epeli Vuniwaqa, South Africa based winger Akuila Mawerecagi and another new-comer Iliesa Ratuva in his line-up.

Savou says he needs to give his top players a rest and introduce them in later pool games so that they can be in top shape for the play-off games tomorrow.
