The Western Province in Solomon Islands is planning to build a monument to the memory of the 52 people who died in the April 2nd tsunami and earthquake.
The Premier of Western Province, Alex Lokopio, says his Government will build the monument in the main town, Gizo.
Mr Lokopio says it expects to complete it ahead of a commemoration event next April.
