Further talks expected in Fiji NPF dispute

2:33 pm on 18 December 2007

The Fiji Banks and Finance Sector Employees Union says it is sill awaiting word from the Fiji National Provident Fund board on when they are to meet.

Fijilive says the two parties were scheduled to meet today but the union when contacted said it was yet to be notified of a time by the board.

The union represents 200 FNPF workers who went on strike last week after the FNPF board turned down their request for Cost of Living Adjustment, or COLA, payment for the past three years, including bonus payments.

They resumed work yesterday after the union had agreed to hold further talks.
