22 applicants for Manu Samoa coach job

The job of coach for the Manu Samoa team has attracted candidates from across the world.

According to Samoa Rugby Union CEO, Su'a Peter Schuster, 22 candidates from Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, England, South Africa and Canada have applied for the job.

However, Su'a says he can't release the names of the candidates until the final nine are shortlisted on Tuesday.

Su'a said only five locals have applied for the job.

The new coach will replace All Black legend La'auli Michael Jones who stepped down as coach after the 2007 World Cup.
