The Samoa government has issued the American Samoan airline South Pacific Express a 30 day license to fly to Apia.

The airline's Avamua Dave Haleck says their two-year license has expired and they have applied for a renewal.

He says the license has been issued for use in the interim while an application for a longer license is processed.

Inter Island Air's license to fly to Samoa is also due to expire on January the 17th.
