The Government in Tonga is being tight-lipped over the progress of an investigation into allegations of corruption against the Minister of Tourism.

The Auditor General is investigating allegations that the minister misappropriated funds from the ministry.

Radio New Zealand International understands the Director of tourism has made some of the allegations.

A spokesperson from the Prime Ministers office says the Government will be making no comment about the investigation until the Auditor General has completed it.
