American Samoa Senator Tulifua Lam Yuen is rejecting the federal charges against him.

Tulifua declared on the Senate floor yesterday that he objects to the charges against him and his company.

Tulifua is charged with conspiracy, fraud, bribery and obstruction of an agency proceeding relating to non bid contracts for the supply of furniture to Department of Education, which were awarded to his company Tini Lam Yuen Furniture.

The Lieutenant Governor Ipulasi Aitofele Sunia is also charged in the same case.

Tulifua says he values his service as a senator for his district and for the territory.

Meanwhile, a decision on Tulifua's future in the Senate is due to be discussed next week.
