American Samoa's sacked treasurer, Velega Savali, says he is disappointed that he was removed before completing many fiscal policy changes.
Velega was sacked last week after he ignored a call by the governor Togiola Tulafono to step down.
He says some of his work was not completed.
"If somebody ask and take over treasury and do the same thing that is now going on, it's sad that I leave because there is a lot going on, projects, make sure we follow procedures, make sure we straighten out the time cards and overtime and all that. We haven't got to end of that, we're still moving on."
