The Programme manager for the Human Development Programme at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community says it's going to be a busy year for her department.
Linda Petersen says they have a number of huge projects this year including progressing work on the regional cultural strategy which is identified in the Pacific Plan.
As well she says the SPC will be involved in overseeing the Pacific Arts Festival starting in American Samoa in July.
"Supporting the government of American Samoa, and along with that is working closely with the council for Pacific Arts which is the regional body that's been appointed to oversee and direct the festival."

The Arts festival brings together countries from the the region for two weeks to celebrate their respective cultures.
