Sevens teams move onto San Diego after NZ wins Wellington competition

The third leg of the International Rugby Board's World sevens series in Wellington New Zealand is over with some teams now making their way to San Diego.

New Zealand will be the favourites there after scraping through with a 17-22 win over last year's champions Samoa to pick up their third consecutive win and take their lead on the points table to 60.

Fiji are in second spot on 36, while South Africa, who won the Plate are four points back in third with 32.

Samoa stay in touch in fourth place 26 points while Argentina round out the top five.

England, after a disappointing start, finished their tournament on a positive note beating Argentina 12-7 to win the Bowl.

The United States pipped Kenya 17-nil to take the Shield.
