Samoa's Attorney General has been informed by lawyer Tole'afoa Solomona To'ailoa, of preparations to file a legal action against the government over the move to switch from right to left hand driving.

Tole'afoa, who is also the chairman of a group of people against the switch, says the Attorney General will be the defendant or respondent in their case on behalf of the cabinet who have already endorsed the proposed change.

He says that the legal action will be seeking a court ruling to delay the proposed Road Traffic bill which is yet to be tabled in parliament.

Meanwhile the special parliamentary committee currently considering petitions from people who against the switch, will be travellling to the island of Savaii this week to seek more public opinions on the change.
