The planned appointment of Fiji's new Supervisor of Elections is likely to be delayed until next month.

This is due to the delay in the appointment of the members of the Constitutional Offices Commission, the appointing authority for the Supervisor of Elections.

COC chairman, Rishi Ram, told Fijilive he hopes the other two members will be finalised this week.

He said the commission has received over 30 applications for the position from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, India and parts of Europe and the African continent.
