Bickering continues within Fiji netball

11:00 am on 13 February 2008

The Fiji Sports and National Olympic Committee has stepped in to try and sort out the internal bickering in the country's largest women sport netball.

The bickering reached new heights after Fiji's poor showing at the November World Champs and the disappearance of Netball Federation President, Alice Tabete who is reported to have left New Zealand and is in the United States.

The matter is made worse with two groups operating separate executives.

The acting president Paulini Tora deferred last month's AGM but was overruled by another group who went ahead and elected former president Milika Minivai as the new head of sport.

However, FASANOC has ruled that last month's AGM had flaws and called for fresh elections on March 15 in Suva.
