A ban on some American High Schools lifted

The American Samoa High School Athletic Association has lifted the ban on high school sports which was imposed February 6.

But the suspension will continue on Tafuna and Samoana High School who were involved in a series of fights which led to a complete ban on all high schools.

Director of Education Dr. Claire Poumele however is meeting with administrators and PTA presidents of the two schools to discuss concerns over their suspension.

She says most of the problems which occur during school sports are caused by spectators.

Dr Poumele says while control can be maintained over the students, it's not possible with spectators.
