Two people in Guam are in custody after 800,000 US dollars cash as well as drugs were reportedly found in their luggage at Guam International Airport.

A Transportation Security Administration spokesperson, Nestor Licanto, says the money was discovered by one of its officers during a routine inspection yesterday.

The luggage was to be on a flight bound for Manila.

The spokesperson says the Pacific News Center law enforcement authorities were notified soon after the cash was found.

Drugs were also reportedly found in the luggage.

An investigation has been launched by the Department of Customs and Quarantine.

No arrests have been made yet.
