The New Zealand's men's under 23 Football side has qualified for the Olympics but there's uncertainty over whether the Olympic Committee will ratify the teams nomination to Beijing.

The Ollywhites confirmed their qualification beating the Cook Islands eight-nil in their final game in the six nation tournament yesterday to finish unbeaten.

Phil Edginton, Jeremy Brockie, Jason Hayne scored two goals each, while Sam Messam, Daniel Ellensohn and Aaron Scott contributed with one.

Solomon Islands finished in second spot coming from 2-nil down to beat Fiji 3-2, while PNG beat Vanuatu 7-2.

Meanwhile, it was double olympic qualifying for New Zealand with the women's side beating Papua New Guinea 2-nil in Port Moresby yesterday.
