A World Bank project to increase productivity in oil palm communities in Papua New Guinea's Oro and West New Britain provinces will be launched today.

The National newspaper reports the project, set to start next month will cost almost $70-million US dollars.

It will be funded by an International Development Association, with additional funding of US$7-point-4 million from the Government.

The project aims to increase the revenue of oil palm farmers through a community-based approach.
