The Guam Senate has approved a resolution calling on the US Congress to repay costs incurred by the Guam Government to provide services to citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia and Palau.

According to the resolution if Guam doesn't get the money the island will have to reduce services being provided to these citizens.

The Guam Government believes it is owed 400 million US dollars over the last 10 years.

Senator Frank Blas Jr. says the federal government simply needs to pay its debt.

The Federated States of Micronesia and Palau are former US territories.
