The number of tourists arriving in French Polynesia continues to drop.
Latest official figures show that in February there was a drop of nearly seven per cent over the same month a year earlier.
There was an increase in cruise ship tourists ,but a significant drop in the number of other tourists to continue the negative trend.
Overall this year, tourism arrivals have fallen nearly 11 percent, with
fewer arrivals from France, the South Pacific area and Asia.
However, there is hope there will be an influx of Chinese tourists after French Polynesia this month joined the Chinese list of approved destinations
