CNMI school system short of busses

2:45 pm on 3 April 2008

The Public School System in the Northern Mariana islands is facing a critical shortage of buses for about a month now.

This has forced existing buses to be used for three to four runs each morning and afternoon instead of the usual two each way.

The PSS, which needs at least 30 buses to make bus riding services run smoothly, only has 18 in its lot.

Of the seven buses that are currently down, five are still under warranty.
