A company which operates call centres in several continents is sending a delegation to American Samoa next week to evaluate the possibility of establishing one of its international centres there.

The company, Mindpearl, markets itself as a global provider of outsourced customer contact serving many of the world's leading companies.

It has offices in New York, South Africa, Spain and Australia.

Four company officials led by Chief Executive Officer William Pattison are arriving in the territory on the 15th of this month for a two day visit

Compliance officer for Mindpearl, Gavin Scott, says if everything works out it will start a centre in Pago Pago with 200 employees.

He says that number would grow to 2000 within five years.
