Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council meets in Hawaii today

11:00 am on 15 April 2008

The Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council is meeting in Hawaii today - just weeks after it held its last one.

The council has had to redo their March meeting, as the actions taken were invalid because the meeting hadn't been lodged with the Federal Register, which is a federal requirement.

The council covers all the US Pacific island territories, and administers the Exclusive Economic Zones of these islands.

The teleconference meeting involves American Samoa, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas.
