Solomon Islands KOSSA FC still celebrating huge win over New Zealand's Waitakere

The Solomon Islands are still celebrating their 3-1 win over New Zealand's Waitakere in their first leg of the O League final in their capital on Saturday.

The game was played before a crowd of more than 20-thousand.

KOSSA FC Team manager ,William Lai, says the win was a gift to the people of Solomon Islands.

"It was a very fantastic result, everybody worked really hard for it we are very happy that we get a win after so many hard times during the recent programmes in Solomon Islands."

The winner will travel to Japan for the prestigous World Club Cup match later this year.

KOSSA FC will travel to Auckland on the 6th of May for the return match on May 11th.
