The Fiji Media Council will hold an emergency meeting this morning to establish the reasons behind the actions against Mr Hannah.
The Council's chair, Darryl Tarte, says the Council hopes to get an offical update on why Hannah was to be deported.
The Commissioner of Police, Esala Teleni, would not confirm if any of his men were involved in the operation against Mr Hannah.
He told Fijilive that if they can't prove that those who detained him were police officers, he wouldn't make any comments.
