The Saipan Chamber of Commerce has been promised by the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation that load shedding will no longer occur from next month.

The new CEO of the utility, Antonio Muna, says the CUC is producing less than 80 percent of the power it needs.

Mr Muna has also given the Chamber indications that the CUC may be able consider rate relief for businesses.
