Samoa legislators call on Broadcasting Corp to produce annual reports

10:19 am on 9 May 2008

A parliamentary committee in Samoa considering a proposed bill to repeal the Samoa Broadcasting Corporation Act is calling on the SBC to provide annual reports of past four years.

The public broadcaster is in the process of being sold to a private investor.

A government source says no annual report of the four year period has been given to the parliament public account's committee.

Meanwhile SBC staff are yet to receive their redundancy packages before the corporation is taken over by Samoa Quality Broadcasting company.
