Solomons Police Force welcomes 114 new constables

The Solomon Islands Police Commissioner, Jahir Khan has welcomed 114 new constables into the Solomon Islands Police Force.

The constables, who have completed their two-year probation period, were officially welcomed to the Force at a ceremony at Honiara's Police Club.

The Solomon Times reports that while congratulating the new officers, Commissioner Khan reminded the group that discipline and fairness is the key to becoming successful officers.

The eighty-two male and thirty-two female officers from Honiara, Kira Kira, Auki, Taro, Gizo, Tulaghi and Lata have now received their first postings.
