The Samoa government has agreed to host the next Pacific Police Commissioner's conference in September this year.

The endorsement was confirmed in a cabinet meeting held over the week-end.

Twenty countries including Australia and New Zealand are expected to attend the annual meeting but a government statement says the number of participants could reach fifty as police commissioners from the region will be accompanied by their wives.

Discussions will be focused on issues relating to the improvement of police work in the pacific region as well as assisting each other.
