Pacific women leaders head to Harvard University

New Zealand has awarded six Pacific women leaders from Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Solomon Islands with the Harvard Scholarships.

The awards funded by NZAID gives the women the opportunity to attend a prestigious leadership programme at Harvard University in New England.

The women are Dominica Abo and Barbara Toiya from Papua New Guinea, Palanitina Tupuimatagi Toelupe and Laeimau Oketevi Tanuvasa-Savea from Samoa, Ethel Sigimanu and Jennifer Wate from Solomon Islands.

The scholarships form part of the New Zealand Prime Minister and Council of Women Leaders Joint Fellowship for Emerging Pacific Women leaders.
