France has appointed Adolphe Colrat to replace Anne Boquet as High Commissioner in French Polynesia.
Mrs Boquet has been High Commissioner for the past three years during a spate of continuing political instability that has seen three people as President in the past four months.
For the past two years, Mr Colrat was head of political, administrative and financial affairs at the French ministry for overseas territories.
