The Samoa under 20 rugby union side have ended their Junior World Championship campaign on a high beating Argentina 30-10 in the seventh place playoff.

Samoa head coach, Sogi Meleisea says while it was a team effort he gave credit to his captain Afa Aiono and second row Maselino Paulino for the brilliant win.

The win means Samoa retain their seventh in the rankings and away from relegation.

Meleisea says while he was pleased with the sides performance they could have done better.

"We're happy but not satisfied cause actually we want to change that seven to a higher level but unfortunately we couldn't make but thanks we have the seven again."

Tonga beat Fiji in the playoff for 13th place.
